No spoilers! Except for a bit of blossom-end rot on the Lemon Boy tomatoes!

I just wanted a record of what came out of the garden yesterday evening:

a few rasberries and about two dozen apricots
raddiccio, Bibb, and Boston lettuce
string beans and yellow pole beans
zuccinni
about a pint of cherry tomatoes
herbs: tarragon, chives, several kinds of parsley, chervil
cucumber
onions
beets and beet greens
chiles: cubanelle and one other smallish red round kind

Also, could have harvested these but left them growing for a bit longer:

many other kinds of herbs
more beets
more onions
kale
spinach
Swiss chard and red chard
nastursium, marigold, chamomille, violets, rose hips

Still waiting to ripen:

turnips
acorn squash
pumpkin (I think - it's a mystery vine)
six other varieties of tomato
eggplant
sweet yellow peppers
habanero chiles
tomatillos
Cape gooseberries
grapes
sorrel and French sorrel
more zucchinni
fennel bulbs
brussels sprouts

Not going to get any this year at all, but next year will be different:

rhubarb
lingonberries
peaches

Why do I do all this crazy academic nonsense when clearly I'm destined for greengocery?

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I am insanely jealous of your garden.

Good lord, I'm impressed.

Thank you, thank you. Though it's not me you should be impressed by - it's the awesome power of water and dirt and light and time passing that deserves all the credit.

SORRYZ MANY SORRYZ

when are you coming to Toronto anyway? Come for grape season! You can eat grapes!

Sounds Lovely! Deer ate all of our growing baby butternut squash - good luck with your acorn squash!

Oh, btw, I've just e-mailed you about some things, but wasn't sure which e-mail addy to use, so please keep an eye out.

Yeah, we're in the middle of city so we don't have to worry so much about deer, just squirrels and racoons and feral cats. The cats don't eat much of the garden, they just poop in it if not chased away with mothballs. And the racoons and squirrels mostly go for the grapes, which we have more than enough of, so it works out all right.

Ah yes, some of the perks of city living :)

And I didn't get an email from you in any of my various accounts (with the new job I'm up to, um, six completely distinct addresses, gah, not counting my livejournal address that only works sometimes) but if you look on my user info there's an address that I check more or less regularly which usually works pretty well.
