You *can't* have too many tomatoes. I mean, you may have more than you can eat or want to put away for the winter in some form or another, but you can always give them away! Unlike, say, most forms of squash, everyone is always happy to get home-grown tomatoes. In fact at least one friend here has already put in a request for some of this year's crop ...
