lj advisory board elections
May. 22nd, 2008 08:39 pmSo Livejournal has this advisory board whose advice they already have ignored on at least one occasion, and now we users are being invited to elect a fellow user to the board, and while it probably won't help, it couldn't hurt, right? Unless you get elected, in which case I predict for you nothing but aggravation. Anyway, not that I would dream of trying to influence your decisions, but I voted for (in this order, and order matters)
rm,
squeaky19, and
legomymalfoy in case you were wondering. And I do suggest that you go vote, yourself.
Candidate statements are linked here; you can cast your ballot here. You have until May 30.
Thanks to
bethbethbeth and
pytx for the heads-up.

Date: 2008-05-23 01:13 am (UTC)I voted RM, Squeaky, and Jameth (yes, Jameth -- if it's a farce, then let's go all out!). Legomymalfoy has always seemed like more of an apologist for LJ and its abuse team than someone willing to take a strong position against them, but again, maybe I'm just cynical.
p.s. hello! how are you? how are the migraines? things here have been mostly gut-wrenchingly terrible, but i did just get some great professional news lately, which was nice. ;D

Date: 2008-05-23 01:32 am (UTC)I'm good, a little overcome by work, but good. Migraines are mostly gone thanks to beta blockers (except for the PMS-associated ones which my neurologist tells me nothing will fix but menopause, but they can be dealt with with triptanes, so it's okay.) Beta blockers continue to be super-annoying - they make me logy and sad. Neurologist says I can quit them in another three months, though, so I'm looking forward to that. Sorry that things are terrible there - is that health-related or what? And what's your good news? and congratulations! for whatever it is.
